Chapter 61 : London in flames (part 1)

Berserker stood on the remains of the limousine she had just run over with her immense strength. The armed vehicles stopped and from these came the various members of the Coven ready to fight against what looked like a simple unarmed girl. They cast several spells to be able to kill her but these had no effect on her, they didn't even touch her. The men, surprised and frightened at the same time, tried again to attack the Servant but this time Berserker did not stand still: her fists were enveloped in flames.
« Aaaaaargh! » She screamed.
A cry that disturbed those present. Berserker left the limousine and attacked the first armed vehicle. She took two men and broke their heads like prunes, then burned four more enemies with her flames. Some members of the Coven climbed into the armored truck and thought of investing the girl in the car but Berserker hit it with a fist and blew it up.
Berserker's presence was as impressive as that of a demon from Hell ready to inflict suffering on her victims. The men of the Coven who had remained alive gave up but the Servant burned them in the flames anyway.
Rebecca and Vittoria emerged from the limousine, dragging out the Grand Master, who was seriously injured and could not move. The two girls took him on their shoulders and brought him to safety but Berserker had seen them and immediately blocked their only escape route.
« Dis! » Rebecca screamed, snapping her fingers.
Berserker was pushed back a few meters but immediately returned to the attack and so Rebecca was forced to fight her leaving the task of saving the Grand Master to Vittoria.
Rebecca tried to keep up with Berserker using the same spell all the time but the Servant was much smarter and faster and quickly hit the girl with such a strong punch that she broke her rib cage, piercing her chest and killing her instantly.
« REBECCA! » Victoria screamed, shocked.
« Wait ... don't go fight Berserker ... she'll kill you. »
« But, Grand Master, we can't just run away! »
« We have no other choice ... Vittoria, don't you understand? The Servants cannot be defeated by us. We are too weak for them, we are like inexperienced children and in addition this Berserker is not just any Servant. In her I recognize an unusual strength, I had never seen anything like it. It must surely be a very important Heroic Spirit. »
« Who? Who can be so destructive? »
« I have no idea ... the dragon-shaped helmet certainly doesn't help me. She could be anyone. »
« We can't escape anyway, I'll find a way to fight Berserker. »
« Stop! »
« Don't worry, Grand Master! I can do it! »
« No! »
Vittoria left the Grand Master in a corner and prepared to fight but Berserker was already in front of her, took her by the throat and lifted her from the ground with immense ease and then threw her with a terrifying force against a car nearby. Berserker was an impossible monster to stop and Grand Master Giovanni Monteverdi X would be her next victim.
« You who have faith are the easiest to shake. » Asserted Berserker.
« Ah! I thought that the Berserker class was full of people without sense, unable even to speak. But you're not. »
« I'm not just any Heroic Spirit. »
« I imagined. »
« Are you going to pray to your God? »
« Why don't you kill me right away and get it over with?" »
« This is also a good idea. »
Berserker prepared to deliver the coup de grace to Giovanni Monteverdi X but at that moment she felt the presence of another Servant.
Berserker turned and saw that shining Roman armor lit by the sun, saw the crown of laurels symbol of imperial power and saw that smiling face with flaming crimson eyes like those of a hunter before a prey. The dictator was back on the battlefield.
Saber with a defiant smile said:
« I'm here, Berserker. Forget about him, face me. »
« Are you here to save this weak one? »
« Wait a minute, are you talking ?! Damn! This is indeed a revelation! Why didn't you even speak to me the first time we met? »
« Because it wasn't worth it. »
« Ah, so you offend me. But I'm happy. Now I know that you are not just a crazy Heroic Spirit, you are truly worthy of your legend. »
« What do you know about my legend? »
« I am not stupid, Berserker, besides being a dictator and a dux I am also a historian. I know all about Gaul, Germany and Britain, so I also guessed your legend. »
Berserker attacked Saber with a punch but the latter parried using her sword. The two Servants, without getting lost in useless chatter, began to fight and seemed to be at par which both annoyed them. Saber could predict every attack of Berserker and vice versa; Berserker managed to inflict devastating blows on Saber and vice versa. The two Heroic Spirits fought each other without giving a second of respite.
