Begun in 1593 by the will of the Grand Master Carlo Logarino. The intent of the Coven was to purge Italy from the presence of Satanists and witches. During the First Purge, the Coven was able to completely destroy a satanist sect called the Sons of the Serpent. The satanists of this sect were attacked and killed in 1600.
During the First Purge, which ended in 1602, there were several victims including:
. 12 witches
. 96 heretics. 102 Satanists
. 7 pagans (these were drowned in the Serchio river, in Tuscany)
